Meet the Crew and Cast of Wild Food: Q&A with Jeff Galpin

It is crazy to believe that after 10 years of building her body of work, we are finally counting down the days until the premier of Georgia’s new show “Wild Food” on Destination America! If you haven’t already heard, the show premiers Saturday June 23rd at 10pm EST/9pm CT.

As a way to give you some sneak peeks into the making of the show, we asked some of the wonderful cast and crew members a series of questions which we’ll be posting here daily. Today it’s Louisiana local, Jeff Galpin!

Read the other Q&A’s HERE.

What Georgia has to say about him:

Jeff is a real gem! He really introduced us to the local culture and cuisine of Louisiana and gave us the kind of access we couldn’t have gotten any other way. He also can cook some mean crawfish! And he sweats a lot when he eats ’em, wait until you see! LOL.

Meet the Crew and Cast of Wild Food: Q&A with Jeff Galpin:

What’s the wildest food you’ve ever tried?

I ate lion once. Tasted like crap but it was at a benefit with some of the top chiefs in the country.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about Georgia?

Georgia isn’t scared to get bloody and just dive in an animal that she killed to clean it.

Do you have a favorite moment from filming the pilot?

Favorite moment was when that pig hauled ass and left us in the dust then jumped in the water.

What’s the thing someone MUST do while visiting New Orleans?

Everyone must get a drive thru Daiquiri.

What does Manual Literacy mean to you and how do you practice it in your life?

Manuel  literacy, I never meet him before.  He is probably an Islenos from down the Bayou.

What was your biggest laugh while filming?

Biggest laugh was when Georgia gave Jill the raccoon penis. I have seen them as toothpicks not a gold plated one.
